Misako Aoki to release Lolita Fashion Guidebook
In our interview with her, Misako mentioned that she would soon be releasing a guidebook for lolita fashion. It’s just been confirmed on the Japan Lolita Association’s Facebook page that the book will be launching on March 25th, 2014 – accompanied with a shot of Misako herself with the sample.
Unfortunately, the book will be in Japanese only, but overseas fans who are still interested will be able to pick it up on Amazon.
(Sorry if you’re sick of us spamming you about Misako Aoki. But also, not sorry.)

These little insertable chains and decorations are a fun and sneaky way to dress up kimono, especially yukata, which pretend to be high formal. They are specially made for kimono with the long flat tabs you can see on the image of the gold chain—you just stick those into the layers of the obi and they will stay in place. If you like, you could use a necklace or chain and clip it to the edge of the obi, but these little tabs don’t scratch the obi and generally stick in without sliding around much.
If you ever see me talking about ‘the sexy hip thing’, I mean this:
I love how they’re all just holding their belts
Then there’s Levi
And then there’s Jean
